Living in a Glass Paper Weight

While I was travelling on the bus it started snowing.   I exchanged texts with a friend who loves snow and was very excited about it.

Later, as I was watching the snow falling, which was getting heavier and heavier every minute,  I was suddenly aware that I was watching myself.  It was like I was holding a glass paper weight in my hand and staring at myself within the paper weight.  In the paper weight, I was riding on a bus and staring out of the window.

There is actually a music video by Johnny Gill called Fairweather Friend which is very similar to the experience I had of looking at myself in a glass paper weight. In the video, Johnny Gill is the angelic-self of a woman who lives in a glass paper weight world. The angel is always there to help the young woman though she's now aware of his presence.

Back to my bus journey, I noticed that just before I was about to get off the bus, the snow stopped falling. As soon as I arrived at my destination, the snow started again. . I then visualised the paper weight in my hand and sent myself love and warmth. I noticed the snow stopped. I have to say although I think snow looks really pretty, I would rather it didn't snow.

I believe the me that is outside the paper weight is I as Spirit/Infinite Love and real self; and the me in the paper weight is my human experience.

Spirit, which is inside and outside of the paper weight, frees me from the glass paper weight and makes life easy, fun and wonderful.

Love Makes Shopping Easy and Fun

Years ago, I used to have a phobia of shops. Every time I went into one (clothing, department store or supermarket)  I would feel nauseous and want to go to the toilet.  Eventually, I learned a psychotherapy technique  that helped me get rid of that phobia.

I'm still not a huge fan of shopping and only do it if I have to. I find when I live with the conscious awareness of Love's omnipresence and I bless everyone and everywhere with love, shopping is a lot easier and fun.

At the supermarket, I could see all the checkouts had long queues.  The moment I was ready to pay, I noticed one was clear. The checkout assistant was lovely too; she even addressed me  as "My Love."

Love makes all aspects of life (including shopping) easy, fun and wonderful.

Reminder to Self - On Responsibility

On Responsibility

When people decide to have kids (or pets), they have to consider every aspect of the child's/pet's long-term physical, emotional and social needs. If you can't look after the child either don't have them or get someone else to look after them.

Where does the desire to have kids or pets come from?

I believe the desire comes from the Universe, the one Self that we all are, that is seeking to express His infinite love. Therefore, He who gives the desire is responsible for fulfilling it.

If someone has a desire to have kids, It is the Universe's responsibility to provide for every aspect of that child forever, though provisions may come from many sources such as parents, family, relatives, guardians, friends, neighbours, teachers, doctors, employers, associates, society at large, and infinite sources.

What if someone has a desire to harm another? Where does that desire come from?

All desires - "good" or "bad" - comes from the Universe. It is, therefore, the Universe's responsibility to either transmute that desire from harm to love; or to teach that individual how to love.

As I was walking home and pondering on these ideas, I went into the local supermarket to buy a particular brand of snacks my mother had asked me to get for her. They didn't have them. The second supermarket didn't have them either. After I visited the third store and they didn't have nor had they heard of what I was looking for, I phoned mum to tell her I couldn't find what she wanted. She said they were new snacks and she'd seen them advertised on television. I told her the shops don't probably have them in stock as yet. She asked if I could get another type instead but I told her I'd already walked past the shop that sells what she wanted. She told me not to worry about it.

I thought to myself, since the Universe has given my mother the desire, He knows how to fulfil it. He's already provided the money for her to get the snacks. There's bound to be a shop that sells what she's looking for. I decided to give the matter no further thought and just enjoy my walk. I thought it would be nice to go home via the scenic route and explore areas I haven't explored before. I could then see if their local supermarket has the snacks in stock.

At the supermarket I couldn't find the snacks. Just as I was about to leave I saw the manager walking by and I asked him. He pointed to a shelf where they stock them and they only had one packet left on the shelf. Aha! So my mother's desire has been fulfilled through doing what I love.

He who gives life is responsible for sustaining it.
He who gives a body is responsible for its maintenance and upkeep.
He who gives desires is responsible for fulfilling them.
He who gives power is responsible for providing the wisdom on how to use that power.

I trust in the Universe.

Recycled Ideas

While I was having a chat with the cab driver, I asked him how he was. He said he was happy it was the weekend. He said people work during the week and relax at the weekend and then the whole process gets recycled.

I told him I believe there is only one day that is constantly being repeated.

It never ceases to amaze me how what I believe in or have been thinking about gets reflected back at me. Two days ago, I wrote about how I believe the day gets repeated and today I ended up speaking to a cab driver who believes the weekend gets recycled.

Affirmations in My Sleep

I use affirmations to remind me of my true nature. I either create my own or I adopt ones that resonate with me. I find after I repeat these affirmations, they come to life and continue to replay in my consciousness.

About a week ago, I woke up in the middle of the night and heard my Inner Voice chanting some affirmations. I then took over and repeated them consciously.

Last night, I woke up from another dream and heard my Inner Voice chanting one particular affirmation that I learned over 12 years ago. I haven't thought of that affirmation in years.

Here's the affirmation:
"I am powerful, I am strong. I am invincible and forever masterful." ~~ Source unknown
It's wonderful to know that while I'm asleep, there is always a part of me reminding me of who I am with affirmations.

No Time to Pass

As I see it, there is only one day.

I believe day and night is a convenient system that God has created to enable us to express our joy, have a rest (if and when appropriate) and have a new opportunity to create and express anew.

The day never grows old or young, it simply is.

The problem started when humans acted as if each day was different and had meaning; and believing each day passes and grows older. Then our beliefs in days passing resulted in our bodies aging with every day that passes until we eventually pass over.

There is no time to pass; there is only the one day repeating itself.

In other words, every day is the same day.

Monday is Tuesday is Wednesday is Thursday is Friday is Saturday is Sunday.

A snowy day is a rainy day is a windy day is a sunny day is a cold day is a hot day.

I believe the secret to eternal youth is to stop believing in time passing. Then you are like the one day that is always the same, while expressing different attributes and moods.

I give thanks for the only wonderful day there is and bless it with love.

Song of the Day - 13

"Green Garden" by Laura Mvula.

I Know the Feeling

Some days all I want to do is sleep.

I had that feeling yesterday. I was feeling sleepy all day and kept snoozing in front of the computer.  I was in bed by 8.30 pm and only woke up when I received a text from my friend. After about an hour of exchanging texts, I went back to sleep though I did wake up in them middle of the night for about an hour before I went back to sleep.  I was still feeling groggy this morning as I felt like I needed more sleep.

Today, I read about a stowaway cat who had fallen asleep in her owner's suitcase and travelled all the way from Cairo in Egypt to Nottingham in England without being noticed. Despite being tossed about in the suitcase, the cat survived the journey and was perfectly fine.

I know the feeling.  When you need to sleep, you need to sleep.

Love is the Director

I believe Love is the Director of this cosmic show called life.

Here are a few examples of Love directing the show.

I'd been wondering about a friend who volunteers one day a week at the library I go to. I haven't seen her in quite a while and I wondered if she was OK. So when I was leaving the library, I saw my friend leaving at the same time. I couldn't walk out with her at the time as I needed to use the toilets. It was good to see her anyway.

A few minutes, I met another friend I'd seen earlier but I hadn't been able to speak to. This time we connected.  After exchanging hugs, he did his usual flirting with me.

On the way home, I stopped off at another library where I usually go to browse through their glossy magazines. I haven't been to that library for many months now.  Although they had quite a selection, I only flicked through 3 magazines and had the urge to leave. The moment I stepped out of the door, I saw a pink car that I usually admire driving by.

Yesterday, while I was staring out of the window, I saw two police officers on horseback. I admired the horses as they walked by. Today, while my bus was stuck in traffic, the same two police officers on horseback walked by the bus. I got to admire my horse friends close up.

Thank you, Love, for putting on another magnificent show!

It's All the Same to God

"Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit." ~~  Zechariah 4: 6
My mother found a jar with some seasoning sauce that she hasn't used in a long time. She intended to empty the jar so she could recycle it but couldn't open the jar.  As we are no longer allowed to put food and glass items in our normal rubbish bin, she figured she would dump the jar in a street dustbin.

I tried to open the jar but the lid wouldn't budge. If brute strength doesn't do it then spirit will.

After I prayed, I tried opening it again and it moved easily.

I then emptied the jar and washed it. Before I put the jar in the recycling bin, I showed it to my mother. I told her I had prayed and the jar had opened.

"I forgot to ask God," she said.  "I didn't want to bother Him about such a small thing."

"Only humans categorise things into big and small," I said. "I believe God doesn't see things that way.  Everything is the same to God.  We only need to ask."

Thank you, God, for doing everything.

Love Horses!

While I was staring out of the window, I saw two female police officers on horseback walk by.

I love horses - the way they look, the way they move and the way some of them get frightened over little things.

I love horses but I wouldn't want to eat one though.  :-)

Thank you for making my day!

More about the Power of Wonder - In Practice

In More about the Power of Wonder, I said the easiest way I find to activate the Genius within all of us is to wonder about what I wish to experience either generally or specifically and the wonder literally comes to life. I also shared my insights with my mother and invited her to have fun wondering.

Later, mum told me what happened after playing with the idea.

"I was thinking about what you'd said about wondering and I decided to test it," mum said. "So before I got up I looked at the phone and said. 'I wonder if you're going to ring the moment I'm not sitting next to you?' As soon as I got to the bedroom, the phone started ringing."

"Was it when I was calling you?" I said.

"That's good, but you used the power of wonder in a negative way!" I said.

"How was it negative?" mum said.

"You complain sometimes that the phone rings when you're not sitting next to it, remember, which means you don't like it when that happens. You ended up creating what you don't want with the power of wonder. That's what I mean about it being negative."

"Are you saying the power works whether you want it or not?"

"Yes, that's why you have to be very careful about what you wonder about - that it's what you really want - as you'll end up creating it."

"But I didn't really mean it, I was only playing!"

"Exactly! The Wonder is very playful in nature. When we wonder, we invoke the playfulness in all of us. You ended up invoking the playfulness in me, that's why I was inspired to call you when you weren't sitting next to the phone. While the phone was ringing I was thinking to myself 'trust mum to be away from the phone when it's ringing!'"

"At least it does work!" she said.

I'm glad my mother tested the Power of Wonder. It does work!

Waving at a Stranger

There are so many ways to connect in love with "strangers."

While the bus I was in was stuck in traffic, I noticed this woman standing outside this restaurant.  When our eyes met, I smiled and she smiled too. I waved at her and she waved back.

It made me feel really warm inside.

I look forward to many more ways to connect with "strangers."

Blessing My Food

There's been a lot in the news recently about how various supermarkets have been found to have horse meat in their beef products.

I tend to only eat chicken and fish except on rare occasions when my mother prepares meat balls, which I enjoy. We recently discovered that the store where she used to buy meat balls have found horse meat in their meat balls.

I can understand why consumers would get upset about this. If you're sold one thing, that's what you expect in your product not something different.

Does it bother me that I could have had horse meat?

Not in the slightest because I tend to bless my food with Light anyway, which I believe is the Source of all creation.

I believe blessing erases all programmes whether it's additives, preservatives, foreign bodies and beliefs attached to that food.

I also find if a food is too spicy for me and I bless it with the intention of dissolving the "heat", it tastes just the way I like it. See Too Hot for Me.

So instead of worrying about what's in food or what to eat, I prefer to eat what I love and bless what I eat.
